Sacramento Youth for the Cuban Five
In the struggle for the Cuban Five's freedom, an essential element is the involvement of young people.
In Sacramento, California this week, youth activists of the National Committee to Free the Cuban Five will speak on the anti-terrorist heroes and publicize the freedom campaign for Gerardo, Ramón and Antonio. The two workshops in the 21st Annual Youth Conference of MEChA, is a creative example of how youth reach out to youth. MEChA stands for Movimiento Estudiantil Chicano de Aztlán.
Friday, Nov. 7, 21st Annual Chicano Youth Conference
Two workshops on The Cuban Five:
Ballroom, University Union of Sacramento State University,
11:00 am and 1:00 pm. (MEChA conference is 8am-2:30pm)

The United States maintains a cruel blockade to try to destroy the revolutionary country of Cuba, as well as a policy of state-sponsored terrorism. As Cuba sends hundreds of doctors to west Africa, the U.S. works to undermine Cuba.
The Cuban Five are five heroes who stood up to stop terrorism and protect their country of Cuba, but they are now imprisoned by the United States for more than 16 years.
In these workshops, led by Estevan Hernández and others, we will learn about the case of the Cuban Five political prisoners. Learn why these men must be freed!
